A RENEWABLE PRODUCER OF ELECTRITY

Biomass is a renewable source of energy. The energy comes from energy of the sun. When carbohydrates that are formed during photosynthesis are burned, the energy stored in the organic material is released as carbon dioxide. Then, the heat coming from the burned organic material will heat up water which turns into steam and spin turbines. After that the energy goes to a generator which then creates electricity.  It also comes from the burning of animal waste.

Biomass energy can create electricity, liquid fuels, and biofuels.
