As long as the process of creating biomass energy has existed, the most common way to capture the energy is by burning it. But, advancements in technology and increased learning about biomass have shown that there are more effiecient ways to use biomass. It can be converted into liquid fuels, biofuels, and cooked in a process called gasification. Wood as been used as fuel for many things for hundreds of years. Recently scientists have been trying to promote the use of fossil fuels instead of natural gasses.
